ThomKat Fashion and Art Boutique is an expansion of The Ladies Room Resale Boutique that’s located in downtown Lombard. At ThomKat FAB, we provide a unique and fun environment to buy and rent gowns, suits and tuxedos. Thomkat offers 100’s of different unique, ecclectic, vintage and modern gowns for sale or rent. Our gown sizes ranges from 0 – 24. Modestly priced for both rent and sale.
ThomKat Fashion and Art Boutique is an extension of The Ladies Room Resale Boutique, located in downtown Lombard. Established in 2021, our boutique aims to provide a unique environment and shopping experience specifically for resale formal gowns. At ThomKat, we offer a diverse selection of hundreds of unique, eclectic, vintage, and modern gowns available for both sale and rental. Our gown sizes range from 0 to 24, and we offer modestly priced options for both renting and purchasing. Whether you need a gown for special occasions such as mother of the bride/groom, black tie events, weddings, prom, homecoming, themed parties, and more, ThomKat has you covered.
In 2023, we merged with Drytini Blow Dry Bar to create the ultimate one-stop-shop experience for all your formal needs. Our services now include hair, makeup, gowns, shoes, and accessories, all conveniently located under one roof.
At ThomKat Boutique, we do what we do best – dress you from head to toe from our wide selection of dresses and gowns, shoes, jewelry, bags, and other accessories for all occasions including but not limited to weddings, prom, galas, and fundraisers.
Opened in 2021, our Boutique aims to provide a unique environment and shopping experience from Wednesday – Saturday during our normal hours of 11 am – 6 pm (extended hours during prom and Homecoming season) or by booking a special appointment Sunday – Tuesday when you will get that personal ThomKat touch. Supporting our belief that the woman wears the dress rather than letting the dress wear the woman, our goal is to ensure you look fabulous and feel amazing in what you are wearing. Unlike other stores, it’s not all about the sale. We will give you our honest feedback and help you get that perfect look.
One of the things ThomKat is becoming known for is revitalizing once-loved garments. If you have a favorite garment languishing in your closet that is out-of-style or doesn’t fit, bring it in! We will collaborate on a new vision and complete the alterations for a flawless fit resulting in a refreshed look you will be excited to wear again.
ThomKat Boutique is environmentally friendly. Our merchandise comes to us from various sources including consignment, closings of other boutiques, and donations. We also love donating to charitable organizations the garments we can’t sell or use. One such organization, among others, is the Willowbrook High School’s Princess Closet where kids and young adults who normally can’t afford them are provided with gowns or formal wear.

Please note that we have a re-consign only policy, and refunds are not available. Once a gown is purchased, it becomes the buyer’s property. However, you have the option to re-consign the item and receive 50% of its selling price.

ThomKat does not specialize in bridal however we have a beautiful selection of bridal dresses/gowns online. You are welcome to purchase out right or call to book an appointment to come try on.
When booking a bridal appointment:
- Please call with 2 dates in mind for your fitting. I like them to be at least a week out from your call.
- Either provide style number from my website of gowns you would like to try-on or simply send me pictures of your dream gown - I will then go through my inventory and pull what I think maybe of any interest to you.
- BYOBF – Bring your own food and drinks
- Invite up to 6 people to the fitting
- Bring a pair of shoes/heels close to the heel height or the actual shoes themselves.
- Bring or wear any foundation (under garments) that you will be wear that day.

RENTALS
Gown Rental: Starting at $29.99 and up – perfect for those last-minute invites.
Tuxedo Rental: Starting at $99 and up Thomkat has partnered with Jim’s formal Wear Boutique to bring you a nice selection of suits and tuxedos for sale or rent.
The process is simple as 1, 2, 3.
- Stop into boutique to discuss needs and get measured and we place order.
- Once Tuxedo/Suit arrives, come try-on to ensure fit. When determine that fit is good, take home, enjoy event.
- Drop off to the store before the following Thursday.
In the event that the tuxedo does not fit, we can reorder and have shipped the next day at our expense.
** Please allow a minimum of 2 weeks for delivery during regular season. For peak season (wedding and prom), please allow 4 weeks. We can deliver in a rush however it would all depend on availability of the Tuxedo and there would be an additional rush fee.
Why and how would you rent a gown from ThomKat?
Why?
- You are invited last-minute to an event that is less than one week away
- You are invited to a themed party (80’s, 70’s, murder mystery, etc.)
How?
- Find the gown you would like to rent from the available gowns at ThomKat
- Pay the rental fee (starting at $29.99 and up)
- Include the Service fee for cleaning ($15.00) that is applied to all rentals
- Take the gown with you on the same day or pick it up the day before the event
- Return the gown the Wednesday following the event
- Note that if the gown is damaged, you now own it and must pay the difference when the gown is due to be returned to the store after the event

ThomKat Gown Rental or Purchase
Ladies for your convenience we offer Gown rentals for the last minute themed parties and or fundraisers. Gown rentals are typically 30% of the price on the gown plus $20 for incidentals.
Simply come to the store, we can and will help you find the perfect look for the occasion. We will then determine when you will pick up and gowns must be returned that following Wednesday after the event that weekend.
You are welcome to come in anytime during regular store hours. Or you and your group can make an appointment.

Gentlemen, for your shopping convenience ThomKat has partnered with Jim’s Formal Wear to bring you a nice selection of Suits and Tuxedos that you can rent or purchase. For you young men out there, I aways suggest that you purchase a nice suit that you can use for multiple purposes.
Simply call the store to book your appointment, come get measured, select your suit, we order it, then lastly come get tailored/fitted.
