Mission

TLR Gives Back Foundation is a non-profit organization whose mission is to help
keep music alive in our Schools, heart and soul.

When budget cuts happens in our schools, the first places they look to cut is music, dance and theatre departments. Study has shown those 3 major departments have a huge impact on our children’s development. Having the Arts in our schools, helps the child with her/his creative edge. To that end, our goal is to help keep The Arts alive in our schools by donating profits off what we’ve raised during special events throughout the year to local schools Music, Dance or Theatre Department. Of the winning schools we offer scholarship(s) to low income students who wants to pursue an education in The Arts.

The Ladies Room Inc. donates 5% of TLR Online profits to help support our mission.

TLR Gives Back Foundation (non-profit) has partnered w Du Page County Juvenile Department to provide a community service program for folks that needs 2 nd chance. We also have a separate program for students that needs to earn community service hours.

How can you help our mission?

Vendors are required to share the event with family, friends, and clients
Vendors must be set up 45 mins before each event
Vendors will be given time for a 5-minute on-stage product presentation
Vendor’s logo included on event marketing material
Vendor must provide a raffle prize
A mandatory $25 vendor fee will be used to benefit the TLR Gives Back Foundation mission

You can become a MODEL for one of our events. By modeling for us, you will gain self confidence, meet new friends, obtain new skills, receive professional photos, and have fun!

Must be open to modeling the fashions presented to them
Must attend and be on time for all required garment fittings

You can become a MUSICIAN(S) for one of our events. AS a musician you will gain the experience and confidence in playing in front of a crowd, make new friends and you’ll be playing to win a prize for yourself or your school.

You can become a DESIGNER(S) for one of our events. AS a Designer you will gain the experience and confidence in reproducing fashions. You can showcase your work on the runway, sell your designs if one of our stores – 80/20 slit, make new friends and have a chance to win prizes.

TLR Gives Back Foundation is a 501 3c non-profit organization whose three-fold mission is to ensure
equal access to music education in our schools, to advance the research into how music benefits Alzheimer’s and Dementia patients, and to provide young adults with the support and training to become their better selves.

One of our goals is to enable under-privileged kids to study and play the music they love. We support the
music departments of local schools, offer scholarships in music education, and assist those who can’t afford the instruments they would love to play.

Donate to our Mission and help keep music alive for our youth and in our schools.

Another of our goals is to further research on how music can be beneficial to Alzheimer and Dementia patients as personally witnessed when visiting my beloved Grandma Cleo. While chatting about old times my grandma became uncomfortable as she sometimes had trouble remembering people and events. To ease the tension my uncle asked her to play the organ. She smiled so big, sat at the organ, and beautifully played everything without missing a note. After her death in 2013 the Foundation’s goals were expanded in her honor to see how music could help ease the suffering of others.

Donate to our Mission and help with on-going studies on how music can benefit individuals suffering from Dementia and Alzheimers.

Another of our goals is to continue to help grow our community on multiple levels. We strongly believe that our children are the future and need positive role models and proper guidance to become better humans and leaders. In 2021, we partnered with the DuPage County Juvenile Department to offer a 2nd chance program to young adults who need to perform community service to atone for previous mistakes. Through TLR Gives Back Foundation’s non-profit online store we provide a safe and educational environment at our warehouse in Addison, IL for our young adults to learn valuable skills such as creative writing, photography, and online selling that they can take into the real world and use to their advantage.

Donate to our mission and help mentor and shape the minds of our young adults.

Through supporting music education and mentoring we will continue our work to assist our youth in becoming their better selves. And through supporting music research we will do our part to help those afflicted with Alzheimer’s or Dementia. Over the past 12 years, we have been blessed to donate nearly $10,000 into our local schools. We have raised money through various fundraisers such as yard sales, and the online store. We host annual fashion shows and other events to help young girls and women in our community build self-esteem, confidence,poise, and proper etiquette
